Twisty's favourite songs of 2017 - a summary of the last Down The Rabbit Hole show.
So here we are - it's December - time of recaps and summaries! As you know, in my shows I like to present new, fresh sounds - some of them mainstream, some of them less so. I hope I did that well in 2017.
Last Tuesday we enjoyed the first round of the 2017 wrap. I dedicated my show to some of the very interesting releases of the year. Here I am going to post a few of them, for those who like to look back or who have missed it.
GREAT ENERGY FROM SWEDEN - LITTLE DRAGON
The Swedish eletronic music band is well known to the listeners of BAIT Radio for their wonderful track Twice. This year they returned with a new album - Season High.
JAZZ FROM POLAND - JERZY MAŁEK
I never pass on an opportunity to promote Poland and this is a very good one. Jerzy Małek is a very talented composer and a trumpet player. 2017 brought us his EP - Forevelle.
JUPITER SOUNDS FROM THE NETHERLANDS - BLAUDZUN
Blaudzun is a Dutch artist whose music I have been presenting in my shows for a while now. Jupiter Pt. II, released in March 2017, is a wonderful album. If you were lucky, you heard it live in one of the Dutch theatres - that's where Blaudzun toured in 2017. I am hoping to catch him live in 2018.
OPTIMISTS FROM THE UK - ANATHEMA
The 11th album by Anathema - The Optimist, released in June (three years after Distant Satellites) is a continuation of the A Fine Day To Exit album, from 2001. Very, very diverse but obviously I need to make you listen to it, it's Anathema :D
THE FOUNDATION OF POP AND ELECTRO FOR ME - GOLDFRAPP
I have never been disappointed by Goldfrapp. I hope I can say that every year from now on, as well. Silver Eye is eclectic but in a good way, it combines everything good about Goldfrapp. And this is one of those tracks I know you guys fell in love with in my shows.
If you enjoyed these, join me this Tuesday for more!
And what to say about Moon in your Mouth. Beautiful. Reminds me of the synth from "I Break Horses" a little bit.
