A summary of the interesting things recently encountered by Twisty.
BROADCHURCH
If that music doesn’t creep you out, something is probably wrong with you :P I am pretty sure most of you have heard about this series before, or even watched it. And rightly so. I would give it 9 out of 10. It’s got this typical British vibe - the reason why I ever watch anything British. It’s got the best Britain has - the coast, great actors, twisted plot. I have only started watching the second season so I cannot assess it as a whole. But, so far, pretty good!
SHERLOCK
The modern version of Arthur Conan Doyle’s detective stories - starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Again, I’ve only just started but I am sooo hooked. I always appreciate that kind of take on something classic. Setting it in modern environment does change a lot. Well, I do think everyone should try it :)
RYAN ADAMS - 1989
What a broken marriage can do to slightly better than mediocre pop material - turn it into a masterpiece. I’ve already tortured you with “Out of the woords” or “Blank Space”. Tonight we will check out some other delightful interpretations of Taylor Swift’s songs by Ryan Adams.
SMOLIK & KEV FOX
Yeah, I am not sure what to say about this one. I played their songs before, this collaboration of a Polish producer / musician / composer Smolik and the vocalist / guitarist / producer Kev Fox is one of the best things I’ve heard on the Polish market lately. I am very glad these gentlemen found each other.
RAG’N’BONE MAN
I am sure you all are tired of the “Human” song by Rag’n’bone Man, played on FM radios all the time. But have you listened to the whole release? Well, I have and you should too. This guy’s got voice.
JUNIOR A
Apparently, a Lithuanian artist. Some seriously addictive electronic sounds. So far we can enjoy a small release, but all of those songs are worth a listen. There is something very bold and very shy about him :)
SOULWAX
The Belgian trio Soulwax are coming back with a new release. “From Deewee” is the 8th album, recorded with the help of three drummers (very good idea). Check out one of my favourite tracks from this album, released only four days ago.
TEMPLES
“Sun Structures” is probably one of those albums most of our presenters like going back to. Well, the British band Temples are back with a new one - “Volcano”, released on the 3rd of March. And this is the brand new single.
