A while ago we added a beta version of our notification system on the website. We have now finalized this functionality and hope it will prove to be useful over time for all of our regular website visitors.

Similarly to most social media websites, you'll get notified about actions performed by other users on the website and about items that you're particularly interested of.

On the top menu bar, there is now a little "Earth" image which will hold all your unread notifications. From that area you can mark your notifications as read and go directly to the corresponding area on the website. Additionally, there is also a general Notifications page where you can view older notifications or mark some of them unread.

When do I get notified?

• When someone comments a news or song item that you posted.
• When someone publishes a news or song item that you requested to publish.
• When someone comments a news item, song item, schedule event or a poll that you also commented.

If you chose to Follow a certain show page, then you can configure which exact notifications to get about that show individually:

• Get notified when a new show update (news) is posted.
• Get notified about the upcoming show (morning of the day the show airs).
• Get notified if today's show occurrence is cancelled.

Can I get alerted by e-mail?

Yes! If you go to your account settings page, then under "Preferences" you can choose to:

• Receive e-mail alert about every new notification that you get.
• Receive e-mail alert if you've got a certain number of unread notifications (configurable).
• Disable e-mail alerts about unread notifications.

In the future, we also plan to add some TOP10-specific notifications (e.g. to remind you to vote before the weekly deadline) and perhaps a few other things.
