To quote Bruce Springsteen “A good song gathers the years in. It's why you can sing it with such conviction 40 years after it's been written”.

Except in my case, I can sing a song with conviction 90 years after it’s been written because that’s the earliest recorded track I have in my playlist. Unsurprisingly it’s a gospel song, despite not having a religious bone in my body.

A good song is a good song is a good song and hopefully “Aphro’s Aural Experience” will go some way in showcasing good songs over the past 90 years.

You won’t like all of them, it’s a personal thing after all, but there will be sounds that you remember and new sounds that you won’t have heard before but love.

If through “Aphro’s Aural Experience” I bring sounds back to you that make you smile or touch you deeply, I will have fulfilled my role of DJ for BAIT Radio.
